The Chorale’s 22nd season began on September 26, 1994 with a potluck gathering at the First Christian Church.
Many Voices: One World – Rogue Valley Discovery and Children’s Chorus, December 4, 1994
The Discovery and Children’s Choruses performed a concert dedicated to the world’s children to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the United Nations. Songs were sung from countries throughout the world.
Christmas With the Chorale
The season included Christmas With the Chorale on December 10 and 11, 1994, singing compositions by Robert Shaw and Alice Parker, as well as the premiere of new carols by local composer Keith Campbell.
An Old Fashioned Town Square Christmas
The Chorale was invited to lead the community in some holiday caroling at Alba Park on December 19, 1994. The event was promoted by KOPE Radio.
Vivat, Regina! Vivat, Rex!
Music for a Coronation
March 4 and 5 brought music written for British Coronations; Handel, Parry, Vaughan Williams and more performed with the First Presbyterian Church’s outstanding Schoenstein pipe organ.
Just Between Friends
The chorale provided the entertainment for a retreat weekend called Just Between Friends. The weekend featured guest speakers, vendors and musicians with Lift Your Spirit as the retreat’s theme.
It’s Show Time!
Romberg, Gershwin, Rodgers and Loewe are featured in the Chorale’s May 13 and 14, 1995 performance of music written for the American stage.
Tour of Sweden and Norway
During the summer of 1995 the Chorale toured Scandinavia to perform in several venues. Prior to departing the group performed a Bon Voyage concert at the First Presbyterian Church on June 27, 1995.
