For our annual spring masterworks concert, the Chorale will present Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem< (“A German Requiem”) on March 25th at 7:30 pm and March 26th at 3:00 pm at the Craterian Theater. The Chorale will be joined by an orchestra with professional Rogue Valley soloists José Rubio, baritone, and Christi McLain, soprano. Sometimes called the “requiem for the living,” Ein Deutsches was written during a personally challenging chapter in Brahms’ life and has stood the test of time as one of the most seminal works in choral music history. It truly encapsulates the most beautiful and painful experiences of our common human experiences and will surely be an emotional and memorable journey for singers and audiences alike!
