Cantare Chorus

Cantare Chorus is an auditioned group of talented singers in grades 7-9 from around the Rogue Valley.  This Mixed Chorus, singing SATB age-appropriate literature, performs throughout the year in local theaters, for community groups and regional choral festivals.  Many of the singers began their choral experience in the Discovery or Children’s Chorus and audition for Cantare with a desire to expand their musicianship and choral experience.

Cantare Chorus Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7:00- 8:30 at the South Medford High School Band Room

The Cantare Chorus is directed by Shayne Flock. Shayne grew up right here in the Rogue Valley; graduating from Crater High School. He earned his degree from Oregon State University and did his graduate work at Corban University. Currently Shayne is the Choral Educator for both Scenic Middle School and Crater High School. When he is not making music, you can find him enjoying time with his wife and two kids or standing in a river fly fishing.
