Choral Directors

Sandy Roney (msroney@prodialup.us 734-0838) is a music educator with experience teaching kindergarten through high school in Washington. She has served as a guest clinician and adjudicator in the Northwest and has conducted chancel and handbell choirs.  Sandy teaches private music lessons specializing in voice, guitar, violin and cello, and creates and sells jewelry.

 

Gerry Flock (flock@ccountry.net 245-0203) is an experienced educator in the Rogue Valley. After teaching music in local schools for 21 years, he is now serving as Principal at Orchard Hill Elementary School and Talent Middle School. Mr. Flock has served as Director of the Rogue Valley Discovery/Children’s Chorus for nine years, sings with the Rogue Valley Chorale, and serves as an elder in his church.

 

Pam Nordquist (pamarella@charter.net 535-1504) is the founding director of the Rogue Valley Youth Ensemble (2002) and also conducts the Cantare Chorus.  Mrs. Nordquist is employed by Medford Schools as half-time choir director at South High School.  She is an active guest clinician/conductor for middle school and high school choirs, and is currently serving a term on the state board of the American Choral Directors’ Association as membership chair.

 

Doris Sjolund, Founder/Director Emerita, started the Rogue Valley Children’s Chorus in 1982 and retired as Music Director in 2004. Mrs. Sjolund is a valued member of the Rogue Valley Chorale, volunteer for the Jackson County Historical Society and the CASA program.
